How did you hear about Lyrical Host?

When my first blog failed (technically, I just couldn’t afford it) I knew I didn’t want to give up blogging. The solution was to find a more affordable WordPress Hosting company. I found Lyrical Host by utilizing the Facebook groups for bloggers I was a part of and asking who was using what. As you might expect a majority of people were using the big dogs including my former WordPress hosting company but, one person suggested Lyrical Host. So, I checked them out and was instantly all in!

What drew me to Lyrical Host as a blogger?

Lyrical Host Q & A for beginner bloggers

As a blogger what drew me to Lyrical Host was the affordable cost and various payment options. One of the biggest problems with my first blog was not being about to afford it. The huge difference in cost from when I signed up to renewal was jaw-dropping. The unexpected (and over double the original price fees) knocked me out of the game. You can read more about that experience here.

I gave up blogging for awhile to save up the money to get started again with my original hosting company. Although I could have started a free blog I knew I wanted a self-hosted WordPress blog. This was because I wanted to be able to earn money. The only problem was I didn’t have a lot of money upfront to get started again. Thankfully, during my quest I heard about Lyrical Host. Lyrical Host provided several options including monthly payments which worked well for me. I was able to get started with less than $20 instead of $100 or more like I would have elsewhere.

It was important to me to not spend more way more than I was making with my blog. At the time that was exactly ZERO DOLLARS.

Lyrical Host also included features with their services that other companies were up charging for. This included things like SSL Certificates, email addresses and more.

Plus, Lyrical Host has an amazing affiliate program. As a beginner blogger affiliate income is one of the easiest ways to earn money. I knew Lyrical Host was the whole package once I saw what all it had to offer me.

Are there advantages to choosing a smaller WordPress Self-Hosting Company like Lyrical Host?

You might be worried that choosing a small self-hosted WordPress company like Lyrical Host might not provide all the bells and whistles as the bigger companies but, you’d be wrong. There are a lot of advantages to being under a smaller company like Lyrical Host. The first and most important advantage is you are not seen as or treated as another dollar in their bank. You feel like an actual client whose needs and concerns are addressed individually.

The customer support at Lyrical Host is unmatched. Not to mention they have a huge library of knowledge and information to learn on your own. When you reach out for help you aren’t getting a random customer service rep. Someone with generic “take it or leave it” answers. You’re often speaking to the same person. Plus, your needs are always addressed in a way that feels personal to you. They have a “let’s get this taken care of” attitude. I reach out to support often with any questions I have. I never feel like my concerns don’t matter. Every single time I need support it feels like I’m being treated as a VIP.

There’s never been another company I’ve worked with that made my concerns feel as valid and important.

Lyrical Host is definitely providing all the bells and whistles as the larger companies but without all the extra costs. Lyrical Host has made it affordable to blog. There’s no hidden fees, no introductory prices that’ll quadruple once your term is up. They aren’t withholding your site security or limiting your bandwidth.

I feel like this company operates FOR bloggers not OFF OF bloggers.

My favorite part and biggest advantage of being part of the Lyrical Host family is the Facebook group. Name another self hosting WordPress company where the owners and operators are so open and available to be reached and interacted with like you would your friends?

What should I be looking for in a WordPress self-hosting company?

Are you enjoying this Lyrical Host Q & A? If so, leave a comment!

When you first start your blog the biggest choice you’ll make is which company to host with. Yes, you can choose whichever one pops up first during your google choice. However, it’s critical that you put fourth a little effort and research. You don’t want to end up with just any ol’ self-hosted WordPress company. Here are some things you should be looking for when choosing a host:

  • SSL Certificate
  • Daily Backups
  • Bandwidth
  • Storage space
  • Rates/ Renewal rates
  • and much more

I have a huge tip for anyone considering going with more well known hosting companies and that’s to be aware of introductory prices. The prices for new customers is super low. You’d be crazy to pass up the offers but, the truth is once that introductory period is over you’ll be astonished at the renewal rates you’re looking at. Sure, they let you know in little letters right up front but most people miss it and it costs them. Lyrical Host doesn’t hide anything. You pay what you pay and get what you get. There are no surprises.

I have a special discount for anyone whose read this far. It’s my exclusive discount for 10% off new services with Lyrical Host. All you have to do is click the image below and use code SHAYTHOMASBLOGS
