Do you need content fast? Well, of course you do we all do. The problem is we aren’t idea generating machines. As much as we’d like to be able to produce a million and one awesome ideas a day we simply can’t. That’s why I’m sharing with you how to repurpose content the easy way.

Which is why it’s important to know how to repurpose content.

Turns out if you’re a mom of three like me, you don’t have countless hours to sit around staring out of windows waiting for some neat idea to pop into your head.

You probably drive yourself crazy trying to figure out how you’ll find the time to produce new content regularly and then actually post.

The good news is, you don’t have to stress over creating awesome new material. You can use your old material to produce fresh new articles and posts for social media. It’s called “re-purposing“.

What is re-purposing?

Re-purposing is the art of taking one piece of content and turning it into multiple pieces of content. The best kind of content to re-purpose is “how-to” or list posts with at least 3 major points.

These types of posts are best because they already have the ideas there for you to take and expand on.

For example, I have a post here on my blog easy money saving tips for moms. I can take a few of those tips and generate new content from them to create another article.

Here are some ways I can do that

One money saving tips is to buy generic. I can write an entire post about my favorite generic or store brands or share a recipe using generic brands. I could also do a price comparison showing readers how much money they can save shopping generic vs name brands.

Example titles for the new article could be ‘The Best Generic Brands for The Same Great Taste’ or ‘Which Generic Brands Aren’t Worth It’.

Another tip is to kick cable to the curb. Some ways you can expand on that idea in another article is to suggest streaming platforms you enjoy with examples of binge-worthy tv shows they have available.

A great title could be “Ditch Cable and Watch These Amazing Shows on Amazon Prime Instead”

These are just a few ways you can generate fresh ideas from an old post. Plus, with these new ideas you can always link back to the original post. That’s more views from readers who will likely be more inclined to believe you are a knowledgeable source of information and trust you.
