I went to court today and even though things didn’t go as I had hoped, it still wasn’t as bad looking down my grocery bill. I shopped at Aldi and spent $233 and didn’t even buy a pack of meat. Let’s talk about my day.
First, I want to start off by saying that ya girl is officially home and I am so TIRED! I know this because I feel asleep uploading my Youtube Vlogtober video. Then I was startled out of my sleep when I remembered I didn’t post to my blog! I could have just went back to sleep because believe me I am super tired but, GOALS! I have goals and I’m going to accomplish them. Day 8 is too early to fail.
Anyways, court was today and for so many different reasons I was completely unprepared. I felt like an idiot sitting in front of the judge with nothing to show or prove because I was misinformed about what I needed at this particular date. Oops. Even though I didn’t get the temporary guardianship I was okay and left still feeling confident and hopeful. For the next court date I’m going to have my shit together!
When I was leaving there were people protesting outside and you know what? I love a good protest outside of the court house even though I’ve only seen them on the news. Something about people hooting and hollering for what’s right or at least what they believe in really lifts my spirit. In this case I think it was because the local police had murdered a young man who was suffering a mental health crisis. Honestly GO HEAD MAMA! Tell your sons story!
Since there was absolutely no food in my house I went grocery shopping at Aldi. I haven’t been in so long because I moved pretty far from one but I took the opportunity to stop by one on my way home. I figured I’d probably only spend about $150 for what I was looking for. SYKE! It was $233 and I was pissed. I didn’t even buy any meat. Not a pack of hotdogs, not a sliver or bacon -nothing. All canned goods, pasta, and very basic items that should not be costing that much at ALDI of all places.
Needless to say, when I went to Wal-Mart it was literally only for a few things because my funds were coming to a screeching halt! While at Wal-Mart, I was irritated because they’re remodeling so the doors I parked by were shut, all the aisles were switched around, and shelves were bare. If I wanted to feed into the panic of food shortages going into that Wal-Mart probably would have put me into psychosis. lol
Anyways, there wasn’t too much exciting things happening today. Tomorrow since I’ll be home it’ll be another boring day but, atleast I can catch up on my blogs and vlogs and clean them up a bit so they have more going on than me blabbering.
